How and who do I follow up with?

Prioritize hot leads (replies)

When someone replies saying they're interested or asking for more information, it means your campaign was successful 🎉

Get them on the phone (same day if possible)

Everyone receives thousands of emails every day. The best thing to do when you receive a reply is to call.

A quick chat helps you:

  • Build rapport and show you’re a real person (not another spammer)
  • Understand their timeline and interest level
  • Answer questions before they go cold

If they didn’t include a number in the signature, search their business in Resquared. 

Go to the Communication Center, click "Inbox" to see your replies. The phone number is in the top left of your screen, or by clicking in Business Details.

 

If they don't answer, leave a voicemail and reply to them mentioning you tried to call.

Send a personalized video

Some days later, you can record a quick Loom walking through your offer and presenting yourself.

Hey [first name], I wanted to make a short video to show how this space could work for your business. I included a few examples of similar tenants we’ve helped. Let me know when’s a good time to review together.

The thumbnail of your face is a visual reminder that there’s a person behind the message, and that’s what gets replies.

Use text messages

Text messages have a 98% open rate, and most are read within minutes.

Keep them short and friendly, and make sure the goal is clear: a quick chat.

“Hey [first name], just saw your reply. Do you have time Tuesday afternoon for a quick call?”

Add a personal touch (handwritten or social)

In a digital world, a handwritten note or DM stands out. If a prospect hasn’t replied after a few attempts, drop a thank-you card or reach out via Facebook/Instagram messenger.

Resquared even helps you find which businesses are active on social, so you can message them directly.

If you have time, check warm leads (opens)

Inside Resquared, you can see who opened your email (and how many times).

If someone has opened it 4+ times but never replied, that’s a warm lead.

Once you set the filters in the Communication Center, these leads will be in the Sent section.

You can see how many times they opened in the green tag below their business name.

Give them a call and send a follow-up. They’re already thinking about your message.
