Using Smart Lists to get Hot Contacts

Smart Lists sets you up with a solid list of prospects to prioritize your outreach with!

Hundreds of thousands of businesses are contacted through the Resquared platform every year. This gives us the largest dataset in the world on local business marketing. This data has been analyzed by our Machine Learning team to create powerful "Artificial Intelligence" features, including Smart Lists.

The first step when prospecting is to identify who to reach out to. Resquared can now do this for you. By selecting the "Smart List" button, every user can generate a smart list of the businesses our data identifies as the most likely to be receptive to be contacted.

Businesses in smart lists are more likely to open your inquiry, read your inquiry, and most importantly, respond.

How to Use Smart Lists

Select the location you're working in from the location dropdown. Then, select the blue 'Smart Lists' button on the upper right hand corner.

This will prompt you to select the location, based on your location dropdown options, that you'd like to our machine to analyze and compile a smart list from.

NOTE: You can create 1 Smart List a week

You will then be asked to select or type in 3 categories of types of business you do not want to see in this list (if applicable).

NOTE: These lists are compiled to show you as many receptive businesses across multiple categories, vs. the typical process of creating a list to a very specific type of category.

Name your list and click "create smart list" in the bottom right hand corner.

Once created, you will be taken directly to the list.

You can access the smart list you created in the future by searching for the name of it in your list dropdown menu. List's are identified as "smart lists" when they have the lightening bold icon next to them.

I've got a Smart List - what do I do with it?

Since this list will not look similar to a list you've created on your own (and will be compiled of multiple types of businesses, vs. one specific type), we suggest using the most personalized methods of outreach possible.

Your list should be compiled of around 30 businesses or so - instead of going into 'Compose Email' mode, we suggest starting with phone calls to these businesses. Since they are more likely to be receptive to your outreach, these are "hot contacts", and phone calls are the most personalized version of outreach you can start out with!

We also encourage reaching out to the businesses on this list with Facebook pages, as they are likely to be responsive and see your message through a social media interaction.

If you'd like to also follow up with email outreach, we encourage you to send emails by clicking on the business within the list view, then selecting the 'Emails' tab that appears with business info on the right. This will allow you to select/create a template that is specific to the type of business you are currently emailing.
