How we're improving Email Deliverability
A behind-the-scenes update that's already helping more of your emails reach the inbox and turn into more leads.
Getting your emails into an inbox, and not a spam folder, is the foundation of everything else Resquared does. Inbox providers like Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo are constantly updating how they detect and filter outreach email, and we're constantly adjusting on our end to stay ahead of it. This article covers one of the more recent changes we made, and the results we've already seen from it.
What we changed: removing individual email open tracking
One of the signals inbox providers use to flag campaign-style email is the tracking pixel: a tiny, invisible image embedded in an email to record when it's opened. It's a common feature across the industry, but it's also become a red flag for spam filters and, on top of that, a source of increasingly unreliable data (privacy features like Apple's Mail Privacy Protection and Gmail's image proxy now often trigger an "open" whether or not a person actually read the email).
We removed individual open tracking to close off that signal. In its place, you'll now see a Last Activity column, which shows the most recent thing that happened with a business (an email was sent, the business replied, you replied back, and so on). It's a smaller, simpler set of states, but each one reflects something that actually happened, rather than a pixel load that may or may not correspond to a real person.
The results so far
Since making this change, we've seen a 2.17x increase in lead rate. Fewer emails being filtered out along the way means more of your outreach is actually reaching businesses, and more of it is turning into real conversations.
What this means going forward
This is one of several changes we're making behind the scenes to keep your emails landing where they belong. Deliverability isn't a one-time fix; it's an ongoing effort that shifts as inbox providers change their own rules. We'll keep making adjustments like this one, and we'll keep sharing the ones that matter to how you use Resquared.
Our commitment to deliverability doesn't change
This update is part of the ongoing, mostly invisible work we do to protect deliverability as inbox providers keep evolving their filters. It won't be the last adjustment we make, and not every change will be obvious from the outside. But the goal stays the same: making sure your emails consistently reach real people, not spam folders.
